PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, ON ABC'S 'THE GOOD DOCTOR,' AUG. 4

"Intangibles" - As part of St. Bonaventure hospital's international humanitarian program, the team takes on the case of a young boy from the Congo who has severe congenital heart anomalies. Dr. Neil Melendez has doubts about the safety of the procedure, while Dr. Shaun Murphy works out the best course of action. Meanwhile, Murphy's latest encounter with his neighbor Lea has him confused, on "The Good Doctor," SATURDAY, AUG. 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. The series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Chuku Modu as Dr. Jared Kalu, Beau Garrett as Jessica Preston, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman and Tamlyn Tomita as Allegra Aoki.

The series is from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios. David Shore is writer and executive producer. Daniel Dae Kim, David Kim and Sebastian Lee are also executive producers.

"Intangibles" was written by Karen Struck and directed by Bronwen Hughes.

(from ABC's press release, October 2018) ABC announced a pickup for seasons 30 and 31 of its longest-running prime-time entertainment show in the history of the network, "America's Funniest Home Videos." Additionally, from the producers of "AFV," the network has greenlit a new comedy reality series, "Videos After Dark," which will be hosted by Bob Saget, who hosted the first eight seasons of "AFV." "AFV" has consistently boasted solid ratings, and this season to date is up over the comparable weeks last season by 17% in Total Viewers to deliver its most-watched season in 6 years - best since the 2012-13 season. Vin Di Bona, executive producer of "AFV," said, "It is with a great sense of pride we look to our 30th and 31st-year pickup. Our audience depends on us to deliver quality family programs, and we delight in the capacity to give the nation and the world at least one great belly laugh a week!"
