BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (TBS) - The cable channel has landed the cable syndication rights to the first five seasons of the FOX comedy, which will roll out in 2017. CHANNEL ZERO (Syfy) - John Carroll Lynch will star alongside Amy Forsyth in "The No-End House," the second installment of network's anthology horror series. EMPIRE (FOX) - Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones has scored an arc on the drama as Brikk, "a menacing MC, known for his vicious and biting lyrics. His rhymes - often described as "precision-sharp, killer content armed with intention and purpose" - not only garnered Brikk his notorious reputation, but those "killer" rhymes become indispensable to Lucious (Terrence Howard) when dealing with new enemies." (Deadline.com)
FAMOUS IN LOVE/PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (Freeform) - Executive producer I. Marlene King has re-upped her overall deal with Warner Bros. Television, covering her duties on said series, the latter of which wraps its run next year. She'll also continue to develop new projects via her Long Lake Media banner. (Deadline.com)
KRYPTON (Syfy) - Newcomer Cameron Cuffe has been tapped for the lead role on the Superman prequel as Seg-El, "whose House of El was ostracized and shamed - as he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Destined to be the ancestor of Jor-El (future father of Superman) and Kal-El (the future Superman), Seg-El is the scion of the once-prosperous El family and is blessed with an intuitive brilliance for all things technical. He now is living in Krypton's lowest caste after his family was stripped of its rank." (Deadline.com)
MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, THE (Amazon) - Veteran character actor Tzi Ma will recur on the new season as General Onoda, "an intelligent, nuanced and excellent soldier from a working-class background. Onoda' is a big personality with a large appetite for life and enjoys his women, food and drink - and can have a temper, too. He has a history with Trade Minister Tagomi and is depending on his support and connections." (Deadline.com)
RANCH, THE (Netflix) - Wilmer Valderrama will reunite with his "That '70s Show" co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson in a three-episode arc as Umberto, "a former ranch hand at the Iron River Ranch. Umberto is akin to a third Bennett brother, though Colt (Kutcher) and Rooster (Masterson) haven't seen him in years. He recently decided to leave a job at a Montana ranch and move back to Garrison, where he toils at the My Little Pony Ranch." (EW.com)
