WILL IT TAKE A CANADIAN TO SAVE AMERICA? BIG QUESTIONS, HUGE ANSWERS WITH JON DORE ONE-HOUR COMEDY SPECIAL PREMIERES MONDAY, DECEMBER 3 AT 11:30 P.M. ET/PT ON COMEDY CENTRAL

Available in the Comedy Central App, on CC.com, and On-Demand on Tuesday, December 4

NEW YORK, November 12, 2018 - The news is filled with reports on the problems facing America, but it's short on solutions. Enter Jon Dore, a Canadian comedian and self-described outsider who fancies himself the man with the plan in Big Questions, Huge Answers with Jon Dore, a one-hour comedy special premiering Monday, December 3 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

The special follows Dore as he workshops creative, if foolhardy, solutions to "the two biggest threats to our children's safety: cyberbullying and predatory teachers." Along the way Dore pitches tech investors on an app that creates a financial penalty for cyberbullying, and, citing legal "bona fide occupational qualifications," forms a student panel to judge a "reverse beauty pageant" of prospective educators, in a well-meaning but misguided attempt at recruiting "safe teachers." Throughout the special, Jon is hilariously self-assured in his dubious undertakings.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, cc.com and the CC App will feature preview clips from the special. On Tuesday, December 4, the full special will be available to stream in the CC App and on CC.com, and will be available for digital download on iTunes, Prime Video, Microsoft Movies & TV, Google Play, Vudu and Verizon Fios on Demand. Fans on Twitter and Instagram can follow Dore at @TVsJonDore and Comedy Central at @ComedyCentral to join the social conversation around the special.

Jon Dore is a Canadian comedian, actor and writer. He first rose to fame as the irreverent roving reporter on Canadian Idol, hosted HBO's Funny as Hell and spent a season on the hit hidden-camera show Scare Tactics. He co-created, wrote and starred in the comedy series The Jon Dore Television Show, which ran for two seasons on the Comedy Network in Canada and IFC. He appeared alongside Tig Notaro in the standup documentary Knock Knock, It's Tig Notaro. Dore had a lead role on ABC's critcally acclaimed How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life), was the series lead in the CBS pilot The Half of It, and had a memorable guest star role on CBS' Emmy Award(R)-winning series How I Met Your Mother. Other television appearances include The Kroll Show, Inside Amy Schumer, Baroness Von Sketch Show, @midnight, Comedy Bang! Bang! and Speechless and multiple appearances on Conan. His film credits include Corpse Tub, Gus, Teen Lust, Expecting, The Pickle Recipe and Stag, which picked up two awards for Best Ensemble and Excellence in Filmmaking at the LA Comedy Film Festival. Named by Variety as one of "10 comics to watch", Dore has won four Canadian Comedy Awards and was a two-time Gemini nominee. Dore is a favorite on the comedy club and festival circuit having sold out runs at the Just for Laughs festival in Canada and the US. For more info on his stand up shows go to jondore.com.

Dore, Adam Brodie, Dave Derewlany, Kathy Egan, and Artists First's Joel Zadak are Executive Producers of Big Questions, Huge Answers with Jon Dore. Christian McLaughlin and Jordan Ellner are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
