She'll play Rachel Lewis: "An Erin Brockovich force of nature, Rachel is as empathetic as she is ruthless and a brilliantly passionate public defender." And he's set as Judge Henley, who's "iron-fisted, but also surprisingly human." (Deadline.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Chad Michael Murray has been cast in the drama as Edgar, "the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, who arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?" (Deadline.com)
ROOM 104 (HBO) - The anthology series, from Jay and Mark Duplass, has "already has filmed a third season, which is in the can, and is expected to get an order for a fourth." (Deadline.com)
UNITED WE FALL (ABC, New!) - Julius Sharpe has scored a pilot order from the Alphabet for a new multi-camera comedy billed as "a profoundly realistic, multicultural family sitcom that shows how, when two people with young children and overzealous extended families truly love each other, barely anything is possible." ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television are both behind the project with Exhibit A's Julia Gunn and Seth Gordon likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
WALKING DEAD, THE (AMC) - Danai Gurira is set to bow out of the zombie drama as a series regular after "a handful of episodes" next season. The cable channel ordered said 10th season earlier this week. (THR.com)

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Doug Robinson, Alison Greenspan and Isaac Wright, Jr. also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
