Maslany will play Sister Alice, "a rare sight - the leader of the Radiant Assembly of God, preaching three sermons a day (21 a week!) to a hungry congregation and a radio audience that spans the country. Entertainer, politician, God's conduit to the City of Angels, Sister Alice wields great power when she speaks, and plans to use it in ways only she can know." (Deadline.com)
RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, THE (HBO) - James DuMont and his son Kelton will recur on Danny McBride's upcoming comedy series. The former will play Chad, "Jesse Gemstone's (McBride) right hand man and crony, who was a former sinner before changing his ways for the Lord." The latter then is Pontius Gemstone, "the middle son to Jesse Gemstone (McBride) and grandson to Eli Gemstone (John Goodman)." (TheWrap.com)
SUPERGIRL (The CW) - Executive producer Robert Rovner is the latest to sign a multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The pact covers his duties as co-showrunner of the drama as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)
