Live+3 Ratings: AMERICAN IDOL POSTS BEST PREMIERE VS PREMIERE RETENTION IN 6 YEARS

FOX

· The Wednesday premiere of AMERICAN IDOL grew half a ratings point to a 3.5/11 rating after three days, retaining 95% of last season's Wednesday premiere rating (3.7/11 on 1/7/15). This marks the show's best premiere-to-premiere retention in 6 years (since 2010)

· The Season 5 premiere of NEW GIRL (1.9/7) was up +12% from where it left off at the Season 4 finale (1.7/6 L3 on 5/5/15) and was in line with its average last season (2.0/6)

· GRANDFATHERED (1.3/4) returned up +18% in its new time period from its most recent original (1.1/4 on 12/1/15). THE GRINDER (1.1/3 L3) returned from its hiatus +10% above its most recent original telecast (1.0/3 on 12/1/15). Both gained +30% or more among Adults 18-49 after three days of delayed viewing (Grandfathered - 30%, The Grinder - 38%).

· BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (1.7/5 L3) was down -23% in its move from Sunday, but given its huge lift (+42%) after only 3 days, we hope to see more of its Sunday audience migrate to its new Tuesday timeslot or catch up on demand/online.
